During those difficult times, people have found many ways to cope with the new reality. For my roommate and I, we would order pizzas from different pizza places in Melbourne, pop on a movie on the TV, and pretend for a moment that reality did not exist. Eating pizzas and having movie nights became our way of coping with the lockdown and the pandemic. It also made me appreciate all the things and people I still have in my life.

I created a zine from this experience, called the “Lockdown Pizza Zine”. Inside this risograph zine are reviews of the top pizza restaurants we tried. The reviews are not to be taken seriously, as I am not a professional food critic. The primary purpose of the Lockdown Pizza Zine is not to critique pizzas, but to share a little personal experience and celebrate the joy of eating pizzas with the people closest to your heart.

When folded, the Lockdown Pizza Zine is shaped like a pizza slice that unfolds into a whole circular pizza. The zine comes in pizza box-inspired packaging with a pack of stickers.
